Dimitrios Klitsinikos

Spinal fellow – Neurosurgeon

My name is Dimitrios Klitsinikos and I am a military doctor from Thessaloniki, Greece.

I have finished my training in Neurosurgery and I have also completed a fellowship in Skull Base Surgery – Neurosurgery.

I have a great interest in spine surgery and my main practice will be in spinal degenerative and trauma cases.

This spinal fellowship is one of the most well known fellowships in Europe and its reputation doesn’t come only from the fact that NUH is one of the busiest Trauma centers in UK, but it comes from the past fellows themselves who have gained significant experience in operating and managing complex spine cases.

My aspiration from this Fellowship is to gain as much exposure as possible, so that I can be able to manage successfully complex spine cases in the future.

Konstantinos Zygogiannis

Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon

I am an orthopaedic spine surgeon from Athens, Greece, with one year of experience as a specialist in the Scoliosis and Spine Department at KAT Hospital in Athens. I completed an AO Spine Fellowship at Okayama Rosai Hospital in Japan and hold a Master of Science degree in Spinal Cord Lesions; additionally, I have recently completed my PhD.

I have a special interest in spinal trauma and adolescent idiopathic scoliosis, and actively contribute to the medical community through publications in peer-reviewed journals indexed in PubMed.

I am currently working at the Centre for Spinal Studies and Surgery (CSSS) at Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham, one of the world’s leading and busiest spine centres. My goal is to gain advanced, hands-on surgical experience that will enable me to practice independently in my future career while maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
