Mr. Spyridon Komaitis graduated from the Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. He completed his neurosurgical training in 2019 at the Academic Department of Neurosurgery, Evangelismos General Hospital in Athens,Greece where he subsequently worked as a Clinical and Academic fellow.

He holds a Master’s Degree (MSc) in Applied Neuroanatomy (2019) and a PhD in Neuroanatomy (2021). In 2022, he joined the Centre for Spinal Studies and Surgery at the Queen’s Medical Centre (QMC), Nottingham, for the Royal College of Surgeons–accredited Advanced Spinal Fellowship, which he completed in February 2024. Since then, he has been working within the unit as an Associate Consultant Spinal Surgeon.
Mr. Komaitis has been on the GMC Specialist Register as a Neurosurgeon since 2023 and was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FRCS) in July 2025.

He maintains a strong academic profile, with approximately 60 PubMed-indexed publications and an H-index of 16. He also serves as a reviewer and guest editor for several peer-reviewed, PubMed-indexed journals.
